We had a very different day at school . We walked down to Rowallane gardens to have a day of Forest School! After a rest and a snack , we went leaf hunting to see if we could find and identify different types of leaves. We found oak, beech, rowan , horse chestnut, maple , sycamore and many more.
We also had a challenge to find natural objects for every colour of the rainbow.
We took a time out from the nature trail to enjoy the Explore and Play adventure playground area.
When we returned to school we tried to identify all our leaves and then made journey sticks. We hope to return to Rowallane in the winter to see how the garden changes with the seasons .
